Wordless Wednesday–Two Hours in a Beauty Salon
Posted on January 9th, 2008 by admin
My Mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate to her salon because a few scraggly gray hairs popped up over the summer. The kids noticed.
“Mom, you’ve got GRAY hairs!” they announced on one beautiful sunny day. You’ll note that they added an “s” to that sentence.
I’m no longer a dye virgin. Today, I spent two hours at the Lush salon. I had no idea a shampoo could feel so good. The last time I was shampoo’d by someone was on my wedding day (and no, it wasn’t the hubby).
Happy Wordless Wednesday!

You look great! Happy WW.
I gave up trying to fight the grey hair. Looks like the treatment worked for you.
Happy WW!
Looks wonderful! I am torn between the desire for cute hair again or this long bunch of trouble which I’ve been growing out for over two years (sigh). Men have it so easy!
Va va va voom! Isn’t it amazing what a little pampering at the salon will do! You look awesome! (My gray hairs just took the plunge the other day!)
you looks pretty!
Never mind that those kids put the gray hair there!
You look great!
you look stunning! ohh I envy you..I need that one badly..;)
great shot! Happy WW!
mine is here
Hey girl you look great, I have been colouring my hair since I was 20 something,,tried to let it grow out last year,, my g/f in Chicago was not gonna allow it,, so she treated me to a shampoo ( ahhhh niceeeee) cut and colour .. does wonders for the ego and soul !!!
Thanks for all the compliments ladies. Now I just have to figure out how to fund my new addiction to keep this going!
Well you look beautiful! That was an awesome gift!
You are one HOT MAMMA! Jodi
LOL Jodi– if only I had the body to match!
Karen, you look awesome! Now you just have to change your Blogger photo!

Karen! You look fantastic!!
The new “do” makes you look at least a decade younger.
Looks awesome, Karen!
I gave up the dye thing several years ago. Now I go with the natural silver frosted look.
You look good, Karen! Much more modern style!
I love to have my hair styled by professionals rather than some hair cuttery places. But, unfortunately, the real hassle is not the money, but trying to do with the SAME style yourself onwards!
My hair ALWAYS looks different the next time I wash and try to style the same way that the stylist did. UGH.
You look great. I just gave in myself to coloring the gray and I’m so happy I did. Now the outside matches how I feel inside. As far as funding it, remember the Loreal slogan –You’re worth it!
Sarah
Gorgeous! Love the make-up too! You lucky girl you.
You look gorgeous!!!
When my kids point out that I have a gray hair, I always tell them it’s their fault.
Whoa Karen! No more frizz! Ya’ look great! You see the power of hair straighteners. Buy a good one and you can keep your addiction going.
[...] No, I didn’t get another dye job. [...]
